About Samuel Smith

Samuel K. Smith is a visual artist living in Austin, Texas. He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Kansas.

In college, I was challenged by a professor to harness my life experiences and channel them into something impactful. Since then, I have made it my life-long duty to create artwork that reveals my personal journey while also serving as a blank canvas where one is allowed to project their own experiences and stories. My hope is that when you see my artwork you ask, “why is that?” My art primarily reflects life and cultural experiences.

I have exhibited in shows and galleries around Kansas, Illinois and Texas.
